“What? What’s wrong?”

“Oh–nothing. I just forgot that I have to get a hotel room for a wedding today.”

“And–you don’t want to go?”

“No, I do, I’m really happy for them, it’s just–”

“What? What is?”

“I’m the only one still single. I’m going to have to go watch them be happy, while all my friends get to dance around with their boyfriends and fiancees, and–It is what it is.”

“I could go with you.”


“I’ll go. I’ll be your plus one.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah. Why not? I’ll do anything for you.”

“Well, okay then.”
