“You don’t care do you?”  She grinned, turning to look up at her boyfriend.

He let his mouth fall open in mock outrage.  “How could you even suggest such a—“

“Nate.” She said pointedly.

He gave her a soft smile.  “No, sorry, I couldn’t give a rat’s ass about this.”

“Why didn’t you say something?” There was a hint of sadness in her voice, “I wouldn’t have dragged you through this whole tour.  You must be bored to absolute tears.”

“Oh no, no.”  He gave her a kiss on the temple.  “Sweetie—you’re loving it.  I can see it on your face, this is the most fun you’ve had all trip.  And I would gladly give a rat’s ass for another twelve hours straight if it meant you got to keep that look of joy on your face.”  She gave him a skeptical look, but he gave her a genuine smile, “I swear.  I don’t care as long as you’re having fun.”

“You’re sure?”

“I’m sure.”  He gave her another little kiss, this time on the tip of the nose.

“Okay.  Well, I don’t know about twelve more hours—but another twenty-five minutes on the tour, and then we can go watch that action flick sequel thing you were talking about the other night. Sounds good?”

He shook her hand eagerly.  “Deal.  Now come on, we should catch up with the rest of the tour group.”
