Fiction: First Apartment (99 words)

The place wasn’t very big.  The sink seemed to have some sort of drip.  The oven didn’t heat above 225 degrees. She was lucky that she was short or else she would have to stoop to wash her hair in the shower.   Laying on her bed she could touch all four walls at once, and kick the door shut with ease. The doorbell had a short that meant it didn’t always ring when people were there, and sometimes rang when no one was there.

But she’d picked it, signed the rental agreement and paid the deposit.  The place was perfect.
